Is Your Equipment Ready for Spring? A Pre-Season Checklist for North Texas

If you’re in Weatherford, Fort Worth, or anywhere around DFW, you know how fast spring hits.

One week it’s still cold, and the next your grass is growing, jobs are picking up, and everything needs to be running now. We see it every year across Parker County, Tarrant County, and Palo Pinto County—things go from slow to busy in a hurry.

That’s why this window right before the season really kicks off matters so much.

A little prep now can save you a lot of frustration later, especially when schedules are full and downtime isn’t an option.

A Quick Pre-Season Check (That Goes a Long Way)

Before things get hectic, it’s worth taking 20–30 minutes to look over your equipment—or go ahead and get it scheduled for service.

Here are a few things we always recommend checking:

  • Belts, blades, and filters (these wear out faster than you think)
  • Pulleys and spindles
  • Tires, batteries, and fluid levels
  • Anything that’s been sitting for a while

And if you already know you’ve got projects coming up, now is also the time to start thinking about equipment rentals in Weatherford or Fort Worth before availability tightens up.

None of this is complicated—it just tends to get pushed off until something breaks.

Service Is Always Busier Than You Expect

Every spring, without fail, we get a rush of people across Weatherford and the surrounding DFW area needing service at the same time.

If your mower, tractor, or construction equipment needs attention, getting ahead of that rush will save you time.

Right now, we’ve got a couple of service specials running:

  • $199 A/C Performance Evaluation (for tractors and construction equipment)
  • Free tire slime treatment with a full zero-turn mower service

The tire slime one is a small thing, but honestly—it helps more than people expect, especially once you’re mowing regularly around North Texas properties.

Rentals: What People Are Using Right Now

Spring is when rental demand really picks up across Fort Worth, Parker County, and surrounding areas, especially for landscaping and construction work.

If you’ve got projects lined up, here are a few machines people have been grabbing lately:

Toro TX 1300 – $368/day
Super versatile. Works well for landscaping, trenching, moving material—kind of an all-around go-to.

Auger / Trencher / Bucket Bundle
We see this a lot for fence builds and irrigation installs around Palo Pinto and Parker County. Having the right attachments just speeds everything up.

AWP & Telehandlers
If your job involves lifting or working at height, these are pretty much essential on a lot of DFW job sites.

We’re also offering free one-time pickup and delivery on 2-week+ AWP or telehandler rentals within 20 miles of Weatherford, which makes planning a little easier.

Parts—Easy to Overlook, Until You Need Them

This is probably the most common issue we see:

Someone is in the middle of a job… and they’re down because of a part they could’ve grabbed ahead of time.

If you’re in Weatherford, Fort Worth, or anywhere nearby, now’s a good time to stock up on the basics:

  • Belts
  • Blades
  • Filters
  • Maintenance kits
  • Pulleys
  • Spindles

We’ve also got fresh inventory in from Bad Boy, Ariens, Gravely, and Stihl, so parts are in a good spot right now heading into the season.

A Few Machines We’ve Got In Right Now

If upgrading has been on your mind, this time of year is usually when people start looking.

Here are a few units we currently have in stock at our Weatherford location:

  • 2026 Toro TimeCutter Max 54″ – great for clean, fast mowing
  • 2026 Bad Boy 3026 Tractor – solid, dependable, built for real work
  • 2021 ASV RT-25 Compact Track Loader – ideal for tighter spaces but still powerful

We’ve been seeing a mix of homeowners and contractors from across Tarrant County and Parker County checking these out.

It Gets Busy—Fast

If you’ve been through a North Texas spring before, you already know how this goes.

Service schedules fill up. Rentals get booked. Parts start moving faster.

The people who have the least amount of stress during the season are usually the ones who took care of things early.

Even knocking out one or two of these items now can make a big difference later.
